Nothing has been said about the next to be Monarch. All that has been said is just media gossip. Anway Charles will be dead before the Queen, she going to live at least until she is 100. Thank goodness. Long Live The Queen

i just want to ask why prince william is going to be a king and not prince charles? im curious about that, we are a democratic country and sometimes i don’t understand the monarchy’s rule… uhmm by the way is it because of camilla that’s why prince charles is not going to be a king???

They paid no taxes until the time Windsor Castle had the fire and was uninsured so the taxpayers had to pay for the cost of restoration. Royalty paid no taxes during 2 World Wars, unlike people on meagre earnings.

the queen pays around 190 million pounds to the british economy each year this dosent include money form touring the castle and palaces that adds up to another 25 million.
she gets 35 million a year and that goes on maintanence work trips state visits and royal duties it dosnet transfer directly into her bank account for her to spend on a shopping trip she needs the money and she spends it wisely cutting back wherever she can so she can so people like you are satidfied.

oh and the royal family dont dodge taxes they pay them.
why dont you actually take the time to look exactly at one working day of the queen and you will soon see that she is alot more busy and has a far more hectic life than you.
dont be so ignorant learn about the families 4000 royal duties they complete a year and actually find out the information for yourself instead of relying on other peoples opinions because you cant be botherd to actually find out for yourself.

well i imagine your grandfather got many awards and honours in his life for serving in the war.
but maybe you should do a little research this was a ceremonial tradition for william to become a knight.
very few people can become one like the commentater said he is the 1000th person in 600 years.
    itsd a very honourable award.
but then again so are OBEs and about 100 or more of them are handed out each year and people like you can contact parliament and reccomend your grandfather to get one.

well the line of succesion will legally and technically fall to charles the moment the queen dies.
but it is local myth here in england that the queen will wish for william to become king instead of charles.
evan though charles is the heir apparent.
its a bit strange that they dont teach much about england in america though.
    why is that?
were all taught about america and the countries in europe from a young age.

Charles is first in line, then William, but everyone thinks that Charles will pass the crown to William.

RemoveRoyalMonarchy: A treasonable name. I’d have ALL republicans rounded up and shot. I’d do it myself and it wouldn’t bother me one bit.

Let’s not pay any attention to tufjhygvh. He’s obviously bitter with no respect for the traditions that built Britain up to be the greatest force the world has ever seen.

G-d Save the Queen, G-d Strengthen the Commonwealth. Rule Britannia.

are you some sort of retard, they get money they are owed, these are the facts the queen give the gov the earnings of the crown estates, and the gov give her the civil list in return at the end of the year the gov get more from the queen than they give on top of this the queen pays tax for her and all of the main royal family, or are you some sort of conspiracy freak, grow up and get YOUR facts right.

no they get money they are owed by the treasury after they sighn over the crown estates, wich gives this nation over £170million every year the monarchy does not get all this back as the civil list amounts to less than that + the taxes they pay on that, they actualy contribute to the treasury,
